Save A Heart

Nearly 1 in 110 babies are born with congenital heart disease, making it the No. 1 birth defect in the nation. Congenital heart disease causes nearly one-third of the infant deaths that result from birth defects. And it’s a condition that requires lifelong care. In the Congenital Heart Center at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, we are advancing critical research, treatments, and care in order to improve outcomes for congenital heart families around the world. You can join the cause. By supporting our Save A Heart fund, you can help give more hope to the children and families facing difficult diagnoses.

Funds raised through the Save A Heart organization provide help with travel expenses, lodging and other tangible needs for patients and their families, and make funds available for research to evaluate long term effects of medical and surgical treatment on patients and their support networks. As more medical costs are being shifted to the patient, one of our goals is to provide some financial relief to our families during an already stressful time.
